Obtained sub-specialty fellowship training in histopathology and cytology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode island, USA and Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. Undergone advanced training in cell block cytology, immunohistochemistry, breast, gynecological, gastrointestinal and prostate pathology. Conducted research projects on breast & gynecological pathology at Singapore General Hospital and Warren Alpert Medical school of Brown University, USA. Have working experience as consultant histopathologist at Bushehr university of medical sciences; Iran. Have a distinguished record in diagnostic expertise, administrative skill ,teaching experience and research activities.
Long working experience in leading pathology laboratories at large metropolitan cities of Bangladesh since 1993. Have broad experience in performing and interpreting fine needle aspiration cytology under ultrasound/CT-guidance and bone marrow trephine biopsy.
Have special interest in breast, gastrointestinal and gynecological pathology. Attended and presented papers in many national and international conferences. Member, International Academy of Cytology. Member, international consortium for genomic characterization of breast fibroepithelial tumours.
Published 52 scientific papers in national and international peer reviewed journals. Has a wide experience of teaching pathology in a number of Medical colleges.

Professor of pathology at Dr Sirajul Islam Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Coinvestigator with ICDDRB in Bangladesh Environmental Enteric Dysfunction (BEED) study.
